Busto de Niña Sculpture in Plaster

$125

One of our favorite design pieces, the beautiful Busto de Niña, or Bust of a Girl, was sculpted  by Frenchman Jacques Saly in 1744. Her delicate charm and innocence has made her one of the most often reproduced sculptures from the 18th century.

Sculptor Jaques Saly was sent to Paris at age 15 to train with Guillaume Coustou. Because of his awe-inspiring talent, he became one of the first French members of the Academia degli Arcadi in Rome, the Academy of Design at Florence as well as the Academia di Belli Arti, in Bologna.

Indulge your spaces in the timeless appeal of this exquisite piece. Hand cast in plaster in pristine white, this dramatic bust is an instant heirloom, perfect on the mantel, entryway or bookshelves. A showstopping addition to the artful home.
